The S100 is a “simple to use” short feed detection system that can be utilised on all types of heading machines and wire cropping machines to detect faults in the feeding and cropping of material. The unit is self checking and also highlights failures in the system ie. timing sensor and feed stop. Other than the reset button which is utilised to clear a fault warning when it occurs there is no other operator intervention required. The unit is fully automatic and operates only when the feed is engaged and the machine either inched or in production.
